Outcomes for Undergraduate Students graduating with a degree through Biology
By the time that undergraduate students graduate from our programs, they will:
1. have gained sufficient understanding of relevant biological facts and concepts to enter their chosen professional discipline or begin post-baccalaureate studies.
2. be able to communicate effectively in a variety of modalities (e.g. discussions, oral presentations, scientific writing), and will be able to address questions and comments about their work in a meaningful way.
3. be able to use appropriate approaches to evaluate biological problems and hypotheses in the context of biological facts and principles, and in the context of relevant interdisciplinary concepts.
4. be able to design meaningful experiments to address biological questions.
5. have developed meaningful connections within a community of peers, instructors, researchers and staff in the Biology department.
