As a PhD student, Herrea developed T-cell based diagnostic tools for Zika, Dengue and Ebola viruses that where implemented in local hospitals and labs. Now, he is the cofounder and Chief Scientific Officer at E25Bio Inc. which is developing cheap, rapid diagnostic tests for patients in developing countries.
